Mariners Dominate Ohlone in Conference Opener
The College of Marin Women’s Water Polo team opened their Coast Conference season with a commanding 15-7 victory over Ohlone College on the road. First Team All-Coast Conference goalie Marie Fehring picked up right where she left off last season, delivering an impressive performance with 14 saves, 2 steals, and 5 assists to anchor the Mariners’ defense.
 
New faces made an immediate impact, with Delaney Mannor leading the offense by netting 6 goals. Anabelle Phillips, a newcomer from Florida, contributed 5 goals, while Jane Mcnevin stood out defensively with 6 steals. Marlee Ostrom added to the scoreboard with 1 goal and 1 steal, complementing the overall team effort. Returners also played a key role, as Allie Piertto chipped in 2 goals and Lilly Jacobs added 3 steals, showcasing the Mariners’ depth and balance.
 
Next up, the Mariners will take on Laney College at 11 AM and City College of San Francisco at 3 PM on Wednesday, September 25th, at Miwok Aquatics Center. Fans are invited to cheer on the team as they aim to extend their winning streak!
