Mariners outlast the Storm 3-2
The College of Marin Mariners outlasted the Napa Valley Storm in a five-set thriller on Wednesday evening, 3-2. The Mariners showed off their grit coming from behind in two of their last three sets to take the match.  
The Mariners and Storm traded kills in the third set before the Mariners won it 27-25. Ryli Bowen led the team in Digs with 31, with Isabelle Nicolas right behind her with 21. Bowen also led the team in aces with three. Freshmen Zillah Landrum and Richel Gumpal led the team in kills with 11 for Landrum and 17 for Gumpal. 
A combined six points decided the last two sets, with the Mariners scoring 4 straight in the fourth to come from behind and take the set.  
With the match coming down to the last set, the Storm started the scoring early, taking a quick 5-1 lead.  The Mariners battled back to take the set and the match 15-12.
 
The Mariners' next home match will be on 11/12  at 6 p.m. for Sophomore Night. Come out and support the student athletes during their last game at Don Barksdale Court.
