College of Marin Athletics is thrilled to announce that Isobel Crosswhite has been named Mariner of the Year, recognizing her exceptional achievements both on and off the court during her time at the college.
Isobel joined the College of Marin as a natural leader and has left an indelible mark on the school's athletics program. She has etched her name in the record books with an impressive 33 double-doubles and stands as the leading rebounder for both men's and women's basketball teams with a total of 629 rebounds. Additionally, she is the second all-time leading scorer in women's basketball history at the college, amassing 725 points. Her stellar performance this season earned her a spot on the Bay Valley Conference First Team All-Conference as she averaged 17.2 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.
Beyond her athletic talent, Isobel has also demonstrated leadership and dedication in other areas. She served as the Vice-President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, further showcasing her commitment to her peers and the athletic community. Additionally, she gained valuable experience working at the Stanford University women’s basketball camp.
Isobel’s excellence extends to the classroom as well. She has maintained a perfect academic record, never receiving a grade lower than an A. Her hard work and dedication were recognized with the 2022-23 3C2A Academic All-State honor.
Isobel will be transferring to a four-year university to study nursing and continue her athletic career. Her achievements at the College of Marin have set a high standard for future Mariners, and she leaves behind a legacy of excellence, leadership, and dedication.
