The College of Marin men’s basketball team traveled to Redwood City on December 30th to take on the Canada College Colts.
The Mariners shot a season high 95.2% (20-21) from the free throw line. Standout sophomore, Olivier Borgol, led the pack with 21 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore guard, K’Hamani Olivacce followed with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Te’Shawn Gamble and Jaevon Woodyard were relentless on defense with five steals apiece. The Mariners had 16 steals to the Colts’ 6. Canada stayed within reach the entire game, but ultimately the Mariners were able to close out the game with a four-point margin.
As the Mariners return to campus in the new year, they will take on the Los Medanos College Mustangs on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Pittsburg, California, at 7:00 PM.
