Game 1: March 17, 2026
The Mariners began this series trailing the Solano Falcons 4-0 after the top half of the 5th. After the fifth was complete, the score was 4-3. Micah Marquez pitched into the fifth, only surrendering three runs before handing over to the bullpen.
The Mariners were able to tie the game up in the 7th after a Patrick Kozielec double and an RBI single by Ben Sebastiani. Weston Phillips, Eli Fogelman, and Sam Schnitzer shut the Falcon offense down, not allowing a hit and only walking one while striking out six over the last 4.2 innings.
The ninth inning started with a leadoff double by John Bullock and an intentional walk to Kozielec. Dante Caiati watched the first two pitches go by for a 2-0 count, and the third was deposited over the left field wall for a walk-off three-run homer, giving the Mariners a 7-4 victory.
Game 2: March 19, 2026
The second game would end the Mariners' nine-game winning streak, losing 5-3 at Solano.
Solano jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning. Marin tied it up in the fourth on a Gilbert Roth RBI single, but Solano responded instantly with a 3-run home half of the fifth inning. Ben Sebastiani cut into the Solano lead with a solo homerun, but once again, Solano was able to respond with one of their own.
Kai Beehler was able to hold the Falcon offense down for the seventh and eighth to give Marin a chance. Roth hit a 2-out solo home run in the eighth to cut the Solano lead to two going into the ninth.
The Mariner offense was able to get something started in the ninth on an Adrian Ruiz 2-out single. John Bullock blasted a fly ball into the right-center gap, but it was tracked down by Isaiah Pazmino to end the game.
Game 3: March 21, 2026
Saturday’s game was Family Day at College of Marin, and the Mariners made sure to give the fans something to cheer about. After a clean home half of the first, from the starting pitcher, Anthony Del Prete, Adrian Ruiz, and John Bullock walked. Will McLemore came through with a two RBI double to open the scoring. Andrew Gamble, Adrian Ruiz, and John Bullock all had RBI hits. After the first ended, it was 8-0 Marin.
If the game wasn't already out of reach, the third inning would put it away. After a bases-loaded walk scored McLemore, Dante Caiati delivered the big blow in a two-run double. After an RBI groundout from Ben Sebastiani, Marin led 12-0. After adding runs in each of the last four innings and a five-run eighth from Solano, the Mariners led 20-5.
Del Prete dominated on the mound, going five scoreless innings, only walking one and striking out three. David Skaggs and Sebastian Elsner each had scoreless outings in relief.
