Sophomore goalkeeper from Novato, CA has been named Co-Mariner of the Month for October. Marie was also voted President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

Congratulations to Marie Fehring, a sophomore goalkeeper from Novato, CA, who has been named October’s Co-Mariner of the Month! A leader both in and out of the pool, Marie also serves as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, demonstrating her commitment to her team and the College of Marin athletics community. 

Remarkable Defensive and Offensive Contributions 

Marie has shown exceptional skill and resilience at the goal, currently ranking 15th in the California Community College Athletic Association standings with an impressive 209 saves. She leads the Coast North Conference in save percentage at 56.8%, a testament to her focus and agility as a goalkeeper. In just 15 games, she has consistently protected her team with game-changing saves and a commanding presence in the pool. 

Beyond her work in the goal, Marie has also contributed significantly on offense, recording 22 points, including 3 goals on 4 shots, boasting a remarkable 75% shooting percentage. With 19 assists and 27 steals over the season, she plays a pivotal role in creating opportunities for her teammates and disrupting opponents’ plays.
