We are proud to recognize Angel Hidalgo, a freshman midfielder from San Rafael, as the Co-Mariner of the Month for September. Angel has quickly established himself as a leader both on and off the field for the College of Marin men's soccer team. 

Leadership and Versatility  

Angel’s dedication and leadership extend beyond the pitch. His commitment to the team's success is evident in his willingness to play multiple positions, making key sacrifices for the benefit of the team. His versatility on the field has been instrumental this fall, allowing the Mariners to adapt and thrive in various match situations. Off the field, Angel has taken on the role of mentoring his teammates, providing guidance and support, which has positively impacted the team’s chemistry and performance. 

Commitment to Academics and Community  

In addition to his soccer contributions, Angel is equally committed to his academics, exemplifying the balance between being a student and an athlete. His dedication to personal growth has earned him respect from coaches and peers alike. Outside of school, Angel is making a difference in the Marin community by giving back to his hometown of San Rafael through coaching with San Rafael Youth Soccer, inspiring and mentoring the next generation of players.
