Women’s Volleyball Defeats Contra Costa 3-0
The College of Marin Women's Volleyball team has hit their stride nearly halfway through the conference season. The team traveled to Contra Costa and emerged victorious with a 3-0 victory. After dropping the first two conference games against Yuba and Napa, the volleyball team has rebounded to win three of four to even their conference record at 3-3. They currently sit in fourth place in the Bay Valley Conference.

The Mariners jumped out to an immediate lead in the first set and never looked back winning 25-11. It was actually the closest of the sets as numbers two and three finished with identical scores of 25-9. Tate Dobbins returned from a one game absence to lead the Mariners with 10 kills and 13 points. She hit .818 with 10 kills and only a single error in 11 attacks. Kailey walked had another well balanced game with four kills, eight aces and five digs for 12 total points. Jenny Huezo chipped in with 19 assists and five aces.

"It was great to get a win on the road and to even our conference record," said Head Coach Lindsay Baciaglupi. "We're finally getting on a roll and everyone is contributing to our success, Kailey Walker has been an excellent all-around player and Jenny Huezo has been a rock as our setter."

The Mariners look to jump above .500 in conference play with a win at Solano College on Wednesday, October 15th
