Perez pounced on a loose ball it the 18-yard box and beat the opposing keeper to give her team the lead. While the Mariners ultimately drew 1-0, Perez was the spark for Marin. She was held scoreless in her team’s next match, a victory over Napa 1-0, but she was not done scoring in October.
The final match of the month was at Solano College on October 30th. She displayed tremendous individual skill, taking the ball at midfield and beating several defenders to take the ball in on goal. Her first two shots were saved by the keeper. Each time it rebounded back to Perez for another opportunity. Her third chance was her final one as she scored to give her team a 1-0 lead.
