Despite a tough season, the Men’s Soccer team never stops fighting. Hosting Folsom Lake on Tuesday, the Mariners played their most complete game of the season, tallying three goals in route to a 3-2 victory.
Edward Rodas scored a brace for the Mariners, one goal off a pass from Tre Diaz, and one off an interception for an unassisted goal. They were his fourth and fifth goals of the season. Julien Melendez also scored for the Mariners assisted by Pedro Romero, Melendez’s sixth goal of the year. A close affair throughout, the Mariners needed a penalty save from keeper Colin Sneddon to seal the victory.
On the win, Coach Bobby Quinlan “We played hard for 90 minutes, cut out our mental errors and were able to play to our potential”
It was the second conference win of the season for the Mariners who also defeated Folsom Lake 3-2 earlier this season on the road.
The Mariners Travel to Napa on Friday, November 6th looking to win back to back games for the first time this season.
